What is Journey’s philosophy of ministry?
The mission of Journey is as follows: “We will dwell in soul environments, knowing, living, and telling the love story of Jesus to the world.”
Our goal is not to be a castle but to be a community of Christ followers who live as sent ones, serving each other, our community and the world.
We live this out through our Four Imperatives – Worship, Community, Formation and Mission. -
What does it mean to Partner with Journey?
If you are ready to make Journey your home, we invite you to begin the process of becoming a partner with us. We use the word “partner” because we believe that as a church of sent ones, each of us carries the responsibility to be Christ in our homes, communities and work places. What does a Village look like?
A Village is a small group, consisting of 8-14 people, that meets in various locations throughout the community. Our Villages are designed to become soul environments for our church community. A soul environment is simply a safe place, a place where one can experience honesty and authenticity beneath the surface of religion. Each village looks different from another, forming and transforming organically, allowing for a fluid faith experience and genuine fellowship. [ TOP ]

God has designed us to live life in community. In our Villages you will find opportunity for both relational connection and for spiritual formation. Our ministry life is experienced through our Villages in four ways: (1) Caring for each others’ needs, (2) A place for spiritual dialogue, (3) An avenue for communication, and (4) A launching point for serving the local community. Everyone who partners with Journey Church is served and serves through this Village structure. If you do not join a Village you will have difficulty connecting in relationships. [ TOP ]
